I feel like teachers are trying to lull me into a false sense of security this week, the last week of classes. I have a number of projects that just have to be turned in "before finals week", it seems. This is very problematic for me because:
1) I almost always do things the night before/day that they are due. I can't do that if like four things are due at the same time.
2) I feel like some of the teachers will, despite seeming sympathetic to the busy students, take off for stuff that's turned in later. Maybe i'm just imagining myself in their situation and, well, I'm an asshole like that.
I'm gonna need to spend some serious time on my Electrical Physics (yeah, the physics class I hate) lab notebook. I tend to arrange the things I write in the notebook to conserve space, but usually forget to take into account space used for Excel graphs and the such, and I can't just go stapling in graphs on every other page. Not only that, but I need to add a table of contents of some sort, either in the front or the back, so I might have to copy everything into a new notebook. This project seems like it can be turned in anytime this week, which is good I guess, though it makes it more difficult to motivate myself.
The other stuff that also has less restrictive due dates is not that difficult to do. But there are still other things that are due at specific times of the week. For example, there's a speech banquet on Thursday where three people and I have to present two sides to an argument, in our case something about old people and driving. Not really that hard, but it still needs a decent amount of prep. time. I also have a Software Design lab due this Friday at midnight. I have no way of telling how eaily this will go until tomorrow's lab, where I'll (hopefully) be getting a majority of the work done on it.
Then there's still finals week. The first two days will be the toughest, since that's like 4 exams. After that I have nothing until Friday, and that exam, which is for my far less annoying physics class, should go pretty good based on my other test grades in the class.
On a different topic, I hate downtown construction. I gotta take the bus to/from school every day, and it takes long enough without Wisconsin Ave. being narrowed down to two lanes from four. Today they changed it so that the buses run on the street south of Wisconsin, but that means walking an extra two blocks every day. Luckily the school year is almost over, and hopefully by next fall things might be cleared up a bit (though I have the feeling that there's gonna be construction all the way through my entire stay at MSOE).
