no updating from me these days. but i guess i should write something or else i'll jsut stop updating. SO here it goes, let's start from a small one.
Since I gave my identidade back to my dad'S company when I left Brazil last year, my permanent visa is expired (and so was my passport last October). So to visit Brazil this MArch, which is next month already, I got a new passport and went to the general consulate of Bazil in Tokyo to get a tourist visa. The first time I went there was last week Friday. Since I am relatively busy with my work and capoeira lessons, I wanted to finish applying quickly. I emailed the consulate and asked for every piece of information I needed adn prepared all the documents. I waited for about an hour standing inside the consulate, and finally it was my turn to go to the counter and apply for the visa. And this woman looks at my application and says;
"You lived in Brazil before?"
"Yes, I lived there for four years and came back last year."
"But you dont have the visa on your passport?"
"Well the last passport was expired so this is a new one."
"Okay, but we need your last passport to confirm how long you lived there."
"But the list of necesary documents did not say that so i dont have it with me"
"hold on, let me check"
The woman calls someone in portuguese -
"I'm sorry but we do need your last passport."
"Okay then I'll come back next week."
well so yeah, I had to set another date to go there again. Today i went there again and everything went smoothly (well not too much, but considering that it's brazil yes) and i was able to apply for the visa successfully. yey!
