*sigh* I want to start Japanese classes but I don't know which one to go to. Shortlisted schools are Bunka and Ikoma. My sister-in-law who has colleagues taking Japanese classed told her that Ikoma is more detailed in teaching hence slower than Bunka which is more like a crash-course.
I'm leaning towards Ikoma now since their weekday night classes starts at 6.50pm for 3 hours which at least gives me some time to grab a quick dinner after work. Their beginner classes are $2 cheaper per lesson but that's not important. Plus I don't want to just get the JLPT 4/5 certificate and stop learning so I might as well get my foundation strong. But Bunka was established a good 10 years before Ikoma and their special teaching method is patented which sounds mighty impressive.
Hmm I wonder if they have a 1 lesson session or will allow me to take a look at their textbooks and observe from outside for a short while their basic classes to see if their style of teaching is suitable for me.
Either way, the earliest I can take the exam is July 2011 if the schools have the July JLPT exam available. Otherwise it'll be Dec 2011.
Mmm...
