It's been what, more than 2 weeks since I last updated my LJ. Reason for that being there still isn't any internet in my house. It was supposed to be up last week but the internet company messed up and till now it's still not available. Boo! Of course, that doesn't mean I survived all this time without internet. I've been going to uni almost everyday to use the computers and internet but with a limit of 200MB per month (already exceeded my limit for March), I couldn't download anything at all. So I continued my drama watching.
1. Dramas, movies and specials
I scare myself how I can finish an entire series in at least 1 day. I can't really remember what I had to say about all I've watched but here are some of the highlights which I remembered. The movies
Rainbow Song and
Tengoku no Honya is gorgeous! Ichihara Hayato looks so good and Ueno Juri is so pretty in Rainbow Song! I think that Ueno Juri is one of the best actresses among the younger crowd. The piano piece,
Eien, in Tengoku no Honya is soooooo nice!!! If anyone manage to find it, send it my way, please! I had an overload of Karina as I had watched the first 2 episodes of Love Shuffle followed by MatsuJun's SP Myuu no Anyo, Papa ni Ageru and then Tengoku which had her as well. Finished the Kdrama, I Love Sam, which has TOP yesterday. It's been so long since I watched a Kdrama and the main actresses is sooo cute! I watched the first 6 episodes of Boys Before Flowers too since I was in the mood for some Kdrama. It's quite a nice drama if you think of it as a new drama and not a HYD adaptation. The houses, school and clothes are sooooo gorgeous! The korean version definitely wins hands down in this department. But Jun Pyo's (Doumyoji) curly hair is awful!!! It's like a victorian perm gone wrong. Among the korean cast, I think Kim Bum is the best looking. No surprises there. Aight. Enough BBF talk. Or dramas for that matter.
2. New house and the extras that comes with it
Like mentioned, I finally found a house almost right before school started. I'm paying $175 per week for rent plus $10 per week for utilities and another $10 per week for a cleaner who cleans the common areas once per week including our bathrooms once per month. Yeps, almost $200 per week! Bloody expensive! But I'm a little glad we took this place as it's just beside my uni and it's a gorgeous and brand new house. Thinking back, I can't imagine myself living in the more run down houses we had previously viewed. To see pictures of my new house, check my facebook album
here.
The extras that comes with staying outside of campus accommodation is that my previous flat mate, Fayth (or Hui Li which is what we've decided to call her as of now for fun) has a car. It's a small and cute blue car. Ever since she got the car, we've been having outside food for dinner more often. Like on Thurs or Fri, she craved the honey chicken at the Ambassador Chinese Restaurant just opposite the housing agent office so we drove there for take out. And on Sun, we had Vietnamese food at Viet Hall with my previous flat mate, Zoe and her friend. Then Mon we had KFC and yesterday we had pizza at Ciao Italia which was worth every penny! I had the smoke salmon pizza and it tastes fantastic! I have to bring my family there for a meal when they come over.
Also, new house mates. It's a 6 bedrooms shared house. Aurelie (O-re-li) and Gristy are from Mauritius and Leila is chinese-arabic from Malaysia who likes her Kdramas too. 3 of us shared a couple of drinks with Aurelie and Gristy last week after their house-warming party ended. They're all ok house mates which is a relief! :P
3. 101 list
So I've started on my
101 list. I started with learning how to fold a chopstick rest using the paper slip from disposable chopsticks. I was looking to learn the simple one but somehow only managed to find only the fishbone rest. I can say I've mastered it already! And last week I started on the eat a Vitamin C tablet everyday for a month and have been keeping to it. The problem is I won't have enough Vit C tablets. XD Must remember to buy more the next time I'm at Coles. And on Mon, I started on the do 300 sit-ups everyday for a month. After doing just 60, I decided to change to the easier but still quite effective crunches. :P Which is why my stomach is aching now. I'm down with the sniffles and coughs now too so everytime I cough, my abs hurts! And today is only day 3 but I'll do my best!
4. Fandom
Nothing new with NEWS still except for a rumoured single in April which is ages away! I said that I would definitely buy the next Arashi concert DVD but looks like it's gonna take a while. It's only 2 discs but more expensive than NEWS one and it's not Dream A Live which is a minus as I love the DAL caterpillar. Plus let's admit, I'm not that big an Arashi fan yet. So I've decided to wait it out and see if it's worth buying the DVD. Good thing there isn't a LE-RE thing with it. Ayaka has an upcoming single which sounds awesome but I'm not that big on her to the point where I'll buy singles. Oh! Calendars! I've seen a couple of pictures from the Arashi one. Aiba! Sho! Sho!!! I'm no Sho fan but that picture, boy oh boy! He has been getting some lessons in pole dancing! So far, I've only seen Arashi's. Boo! I wanna see NEWS ones and see if I can bear to part my money and buy theirs. Doubt it though as I'm gonna be really tight this year with the crazy rent.
Well, that's about all I have to update. I'm itching to spend my moolah on something I really want and being over the moon when I receive it in the mail.
