falure.
an utter and total disaster.

a grand total of 12 people came.

so if you said you were going to come to the show, but didn't, I hate you right now. and we aren't on speaking terms until I get 5$ from you.
The minumum charge of $100 for rental of the flying monkey was fufilled to about 50$.
so that's 50$ that I owe the monkey. If that was it, ( Read more... )

you "had to" pay the artists $40? and you're upset about that? you think that pays all 3 of them what they deserve? that doesnt even pay their gas to fucking get there!
its their fucking job man! i wonder when people are gonna start realising that.
it pisses me off.

He is not the owner of the venue. He is also an artist who had to drive from out of town to get there. At least the other artists got $40 and are not something like $90 in the hole which has to come out of their shitty-paying day job. Where exactly do you think this money should come from and why are the other artists so much more entitled to be payed for their work?

if you wanna organise a party then you know there is a risk that you're gonna lose money... i'm part of an organisation, and we ALWAYS pay the artists what we promise them, not depending on the amount of people coming. if you cant handle losing money, then dont organise anything!

Some people don't do it for the money.

hahaha oh, you mean all the touring artists? because they make shit on tour, i don't think any of them have made a dime on any of the records they've put out, and shitheads like j chot ask them to play their shows and can't even give them gas money. yeah, i would DEFINITELY agree that some people don't do it for the money

including 3 of the people on this tour... And if he's going to ask these people to play a show for him, he shouldn't piss and moan if he has to chip in a whopping $40 when his poor planning and overstimation of turnout ("but I would have thought DDD is HUGE in middle-of-nowhere, Alabama..") leads to a screwed up show. Net result = they still are paying to play a crappy show. Even if he didn't book it, I'm almost positive he was heavily involved finding a club to book it, which makes him equally culpable in my eyes.

The fact that he DOESN'T "do this for a money" and has a job means he should ideally have some money put aside to cover the show's costs. $90 is nothing to lose on a show. I've only done a handful of shows, but I've gladly shelled out more than that on the occasions things have gone sour.

....or do you really think this guy's "favorite breakcore artists" should pay out of their own pocket for the priveledge to play shows with him?
