9.10 Born At Night
Chloe Suffolk is the eldest daughter of Susanne and Anton Suffolk. She lives together with her boyfriend Gabriel and so far they have no kids and no businesses.
Chloe Suffolk - Knowledge adult, LTW City Planner. She works as an Architect’s Apprentice.
Gabriel Yrväder - Knowledge adult, LTW Space Pirate. He is currently unemployed.
The lot value is 22.262§ and the weekly tax is 1.113§. They have to sell off some stuff to get the money, and then they are really broke.
Because of that, no one answers the door when a forgotten grocery delivery from last week arrives.
Chloe is climbing the ranks of her Architectural career, and comes home promoted to Architect.
Later that night, Chloe realizes that she’s pregnant. She wasn’t even sick once.
Not much is happening in a house with two Knowledge adults, so soon, Chloe has her second pop.
While Chloe is resting before delivery, Gabriel paints pictures. He maxes his enthusiasm in Arts&Crafts one night after work. He started a career in Adventure finally.
Then it’s labour day. Or rather night. Chloe looks like every other delivering sim mother in the history of the Simiverse.
Meet the newest member of Birka - Chausiku - which is supposed to mean “born at night” in Swahili. It’s a girl, and she’s got her father’s colouring.
Gabriel is very pleased to become a father.
Then the skilling continues. Knowledge sims are low maintenance, bordering to boring...
Saturday, Chloe has the day off, and decides to invite her mother and sister to meet Chausiku. Susanne behaves like any proud grand-mother and rips the baby out of her mother’s arms. Chloe doesn’t say anything, but she looks a bit annoyed.
Just in time for Chausiku’s first birthday, Gabriel comes home, fired due to a wrong decision at work. We could have needed the money...
Half of Birka's generation 2 inhabitants are attending the party, which is like every other party ever held in Birka.
The training starts immediately
The upside of being unemployed is that you get a better connection with your children. Gabriel and Chausiku enjoy it equally.
Chloe has better luck than her boyfriend. She had a controversy with a collegue and lost a day’s pay (chance card), but at the end of the day she was promoted to Architecural Partner. It pays off to stand up for you ideas!
