The last few days have been so busy I didn't even have time to go online.
Saturday was spent working, catching up on sleep and going out.
heloula and I had dinner at the Indian restaurant we love, then went to see Taking Woodstock. It was such a great film, I loved it very much. It was great to see the festival from 'backstage'. It was really moving and made you want to go back in time to be a part of it all. It also showed how open-minded the hippie community was.
On Sunday, my parents convinved me to go with them see some crafts exhibition. It was actually quite interesting. A guy was carving wood and he gave me a tiny wooden cup he'd just made under my very eyes. It was quite impressive. There was an old-fashioned sweet shop which looked like something out of a Tim Burton world. We had hot chocolate and choux buns (is that what you brits call them?) and sweets. Loved it.
Yesterday, I helped my mum cleaning the house, then we went to town for some shopping. We bought more sweets - not good - and I found Pride and Prejudice and Frankenstein for 2.56€ each in Fnac! I was amazed. It's time I read some more classics. Then something quite surprising happened. I needed some plastic sleeves for the Muse 12", and went to a small record shop in town. I asked for 4, but the guy said they only sold them by 50. I must have looked dumbstruck cos he laughed and gave me 4 for free!! I didn't know there still existed such nice people.
A friend of my mum's who runs a choir asked me to record four of their concerts this winter. I don't really like what they sing, but it could be fun to play with the recording table. Plus it's one more positive thing for me to have a chance to get into that degree next year!
What else...? Oh yeah, I'm stuck at home today cos my car's being repaired. The exhaust pipe has fallen off again! Ugh that's twice within a couple of years. I wish I could afford a new car :( It's gonna cost me an arm!
I listened to Placebo's new album, and must admit that it's really good. It's very rock, and I really like it, even though many songs sound quite alike.
