Western New York is quite pretty. The city of Syracuse seemed a bit bleak to me, but in fairness I was only there for a weekend. We drove through Geneva on Sunday, and that charmed me.
It was wonderful to see
detachablepants, meet Lauren, and roll around on the floor with 'Cobi puppeh. :D We hung out, went to lunch at
Clarks, where I had the most amazing hot roast beef sandwich that I have ever tasted, talked, talked, talked. Saturday of theatre tech types (fine human beings, the lot of them) came over for a poker game (I lost, but it was fun.) I finished the Slav's scarf (which is currently blocking on my living room floor) and I snagged a copy of David Sedaris's book Naked from the bookshelf Friday night, and got through about 1/3 of it. I think I shall buy it and finish it.
Marvelous marvelous marvelous time.
My only regret is that my camera is still broken.
That, and I want a puppy.
