Life has been hectic and fun lately. On Wednesday MnD, Becca, Shelley and I went to see the Killers at Merriweather. Something about those outdoor venues makes me want to eat crappy food. The concert was a lot of fun, and I need to remember to check out Keane in the future. The Killers were a band that I checked out on a whim because of the name, and I immediately loved them. I liked their ostentatious light-up sign with their name on it - if I were a rock star, I would totally have one of those (or even if I'm not. Who knows). I was in a sea of hipsters and image-conscious high schoolers, wearing tight and mostly absent clothing. Everyone seemed to be trying to make a statement and wearing their concert attire, although I was kind of part of that in my 60's tennis dress. The exceptions were some of the adults (especially the two guys next to us jumping around) and three middle school girls in athletic clothes.
I had a good time, but I think that I'm only going to buy pit and floor tickets from now on. Lawn feels like watching the band on TV.
