follow friday, dreamwidth style!

Here's the plan: every Friday, let's recommend some people and/or communities to follow on Dreamwidth. That's it. No complicated rules, no "pass this on to 7.328 friends or your cat will die". Just introduce us to some new things to read. (via

sasha_feather is a smartypants and always has fascinating things to say about sexism, ableism, sci-fi, horses, and things of that nature. she also takes lovely photos.

natlet is a writer who writes. she's also a warcrafter who crafts. or something. no, really, she totally knits.

kuwdora is a vidder who adores Little Mosque On The Prairie. she has also posted some of the most riveting content about the recent Iran Sea Of Green protests that i've seen on the internet.

crowgirl13 stand back, she's a lyrical poet. also, she commonly refers to "Wednesday" as "Wodensday," which i heartily approve of. her patron saint is St. Happenstance.

in other news, our halloween potluck at work today was FABULOUS. no one signed up to bring anything, and we were like "ok it's gonna be small" but THERE WAS SO MUCH FOOD OH MAN. dumplings, cookies, cupcakes, chicken, salad, shrimpses, chips, pop, pie, cheesecake, and the company totally sprang for pasta! two huge things, one with mac&cheese, one with pesto penne. OM NOM NOM, GUYS. and leftovers out the arse. with added bonus of brain checking out at approximately 2pm due to carb crash. SO GOOD. i will not be hungry for three days.

also, apparently whilst in the shower last night, i totally forgot to wash my hair. it is disgusting. it is standing up on its own. i have to keep pushing it out of my eyes but i hate touching it because IT'S SO GROSS. i obviously win, right?

the neighbors next door have this haunted house thing set up in their front yard, and tonight it's making noise. it sounds like they're killing a dog. in fact, i have been informed that it's a creepy battery powered witch thing. it's supposed to be laughing. it sounds like someone is strangling a puppy. IT IS NOT COOL.

tomorrow evening, i am expecting Abraham Lincoln for dinner.
