I can sort of understand the confusion though! I've had people ask me that when I've got doom makeup on, even when they know me! 'OMG, what happened to you?' sort of thing, to which I respond, 'ummm, it's makeup!' :D Someone even asked me once about whether I had been in a car crash, and they were actually serious and really worried! ooops... That's what you get with larp I suppose, reality is not always clear!
But I digress! We all make stupid mistakes, and sometimes it feels like life is just one long massive stupid mistake, or at the very least, lots of little mistakes one after the other. I certainly think this, and probably never will stop thinking this! But from what I have been told, it's often not as bad as it seems, and people probably don't notice when stupid things happen anyway so it's not completely doom! As you say, as long as you learn from mistakes then that makes things somewhat better :)
I used to spend a lot of time beating myself up over things I'd done wrong or people I'd let down in the past.. up to one point, when I came to realise that most of those people don't really give a shit. They've got so much crap going on all the time that the time when somebody forgot to do that thing for them or screwed it up or was two faced or whatever, they mostly don't remember or care. So now whenever I hear that paranoid little voice in my head I just answer back with 'Nobody Cares. Shut Up
