Well life has been moving right along. I am still working at the library, and finally getting more hours. School is coming up again in the not so far off future, which is exciting for multiple reasons. First I have some good classes to look forward too, and secondly, but much more importantly. I finally got offered an adjunct faculty position. That’s right, next semester at the University Of Saint Francis they have hired me to teach a CIS 190 course. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it is a basic computer course that teaches students how to use Power Point, Excel, and Word. The class is not exactly within my field of study, but just about every job I have had since I started college has been computer related. Plus, it will be great experience in general, and in an area that I am familiar with. Not more than three years ago I was sitting in that same classroom taking that class. If you can’t tell I am really exited about it.
On other fronts everything is going well. Sara and Elizabeth are happy and healthy. My mother-in-law just got home from two weeks in Europe, so our wild party nights are over, lol… I guess nothing we do is really wild anymore, but we did have some fun while she was gone. Sara and I had several dinner parties while she was away, a Italian meatless meatball night, a white Russian night, a fajita night, and a sushi night. The sushi night was probably the most fun, because I had never made sushi before, and it turned out to be delicious.
But before school starts I have several vacations to go on. First a two day trip to Cedar Point. I haven’t been there in 10 years, since 8th grade. Its just going to be Sara and I, and a long awaited trip at that. Next, we will be going to Lake Michigan for a week. My parents rented a cottage in some small town next to the lake, so that should be fun. And then finally at the end of August we will be going to Myrtle Beach with my mother-in-law and one of her friends for a week. By the time we get back I will be a couple weeks into my classes and a week into teaching, and hopefully refreshed and recharged.
After taking six months off from writing in my book, I have finally decided how I want to rewrite the ending. Shouldn’t take me too long, because almost all of the book is the way I want it. Time to wrap this up… I have been coming up with lots of ideas for other books, but I want to be sending this one out to publishers before I start writing the next one…. Family, Work, School, Write, Repeat….
