Clive Barker Party: https://www.facebook.com/events/557426577678532/

Me and My friend A. went to this party because we wanted to do something scary, and figured what would be better than a party hosted the the directer of the Hellraiser movies? Ultimately... not so scary, but very fun regardless. Dancing to great 80's music for a few hours is my idea of a work-out, and the costumes everyone was wearing were really great. I wore my Zatanna Costume styles as an evil/dead magician's assistant, and painted veins on my face to match the veiny tights I had from working at Universal Studios. My friend A. wore the corset I made her with accessories she made herself to complete her witch costume. I had to get a picture with my roommates dog (ladybird) she was really afraid of my tophat, so we bribed her with treats.

The Edison:

On Actual Halloween we went to the Edison, which is an amazing Steampunk/Art Deco bar downtown. They had performances by tap dancers, contortionists, aerial acrobats, living statues/wind up dolls, and bizarrely a musical band dressed as Scooby-do and Company. Because it was a safety issue (acrobats) I didn't take many photos, and most of the ones I did take I had to lighten in photo-shop. My friend A. wore her witch costume again, and my friend L. wore the mermaid corset I made her as Ariel.

Comikaze:

Finally I wore my Zatanna costume to Comikaze last weekend. My friend A. wore the poison Ivy costume I made years ago, with some new leggings in place of tights. I don't think I have ever been stopped for so many photos at a con before! We could barely make it ten feet before someone would stop and ask us for a photo. We mainly spent the day roaming around the sales floor, the only panel we went to being about women's body image in media (and Ironically the only time during the day someone attempted to "slut shame" me for my costume) We ended the day by watching the Jedi training academy: http://instagram.com/p/gRkRoFLK0F/

And this photo, which I found online: http://imgur.com/a/HJtLj#45

All in all it was a very epic and enjoyable Halloween!
I've already started on a few changes/alterations I didn't get to in time for Halloween, I am thinking I will wear this costume to Edwardian ball unless I go insane in the next month and decide to make something new. The Main change I needed to make was to shorten the bodysuit; the more I wore it the more it stretched out exposing more of the white undershirt. I actually did this today, but am thinking I will also put a hook or two CF to make sure the white isn't visible in the future. I also made a little more progress adding rhinestones to my shoes... they will be completely covered eventually! And finally, I want to add some hidden pockets to my jacket, for magic tricks of course :)
