Feb 21, 2013 12:51

I draped the pattern myself based off this surviving example: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=469519996433062&set=pb.269295446455519.-2207520000.1361474648&type=3&theater

Fabric/notions: Cotton lace, Mesh, Polyester ribbon, Nylon prusion tape, Hook+ Eye tape. Plastic boning, polester insertion lace, 2 kinds of Elastic.
Hours to complete: 18-19 hours from draping and fitting the initial pattern to the finished product.
Total cost of materials: (Estimated) $30. I used A LOT of items from my stash, so when I added up the cost I estimated Items based on if I went out and purchased them now.

In addition to submitting it for the challenge, the full-lenght making of is going to be the topic of my next article for Foundations Revealed; as a companion to my last article about making the Teens corset.

...and now I am going to go stitch eight 3/toned green romantic tutu's for a teen group dancing as the flowers in Alice in Wonderland. There is so much green!!!
