First Sample Done!

Now that the corset is done, all that is left of the green/black set is the gathered panties. I think however, I will wait until I have finished all the other corsets so I can make all the undies at once. Changing my serger over to a roll-hem is always kind of an ordeal and I would prefer to do all of them in one go.

20" Black+Yellow (Green) shot silk taffeta sweetheart corset with lace. Has two layers coutil, mixture of flat and spiral steels, waist tape and underbusk for support. Black lacing, grommets, top-stitching and busk complete the look. The lace was mirrored at front and back, and the scallops were matched along the seams for a continuous flow around the body. I was very happy to find this lace, the leaves pattern compliments the green coloring for a subtle design feature.

This is definitely the tiniest corset I have ever made (two pillows was slightly too big) but seeing as most of the corsets I've made have been slightly too big for most of the models I have worked with...it seemed time to make something small. The Blue and white striped seetheart will also probably be 20" (Going to use the same pattern) the black and satin one will probably be 22"

Next up for me is a corset for P. She came to visit and we had a lovely day walking around the fashion district. She picked out a nice (Slightly plaid) wool suiting from B. Black and Sons for a simple Victorian style over-bust. The next sample to sew I think will be the black satin and gold one, because a photographer may use it for a shoot end of August.
