Amazon.com and fannish links in taste

All right. I finally got in touch with Amazon, got them to fix my account, and preordered Numb3rs: the Complete 1st Season.

I was amused to note the items that were listed as recommendations--and to note that, by and large, I understood why.

Customers who viewed this also viewed:

Medium: the Complete First Season: This is a crime drama with a strong, well-crafted set of familial relationships. I'm not surprised that there's a lot of crossover between fans of both these shows; I'd be watching it myself, if the supernatural stuff didn't creep me out.

Joey: the Complete First Season: I honestly can't explain this one at all.

The Sentinel: the Complete First Season: This is the other DVD set I am impatiently waiting for. Heh. My friend V. and I say that Numb3rs (first season at least) is in some ways The Sentinel as the ficcers write it, so this also makes loads of sense.

Customers who bought this also bought (in other catagories):

The LOST Chronicles: the official companion book: Interesting. People who like solving puzzles within the confines of fiction/characters. Another show I watch regularly.

Finding Serenity : Anti-Heroes, Lost Shepherds and Space Hookers in Joss Whedon's Firefly (Smart Pop series): Heh. I have not yet bought this, but it looks to contain some insightful essays about one of my favorite TV shows of all time.

The Complete Calvin and Hobbes, by Bill Watterson: Oh man, I want this soooo badly. Not sure I see any potential connection here, but I've wanted this since it came out. Gorgeous, finely-bound, two-volume boxed set.

It's just...interesting. :-)
