New Year's prayer for you all (+ first meme for 2006)

Jan 02, 2006 00:21

I was going to make a terribly introspective post, but after watching Syriana (excellent film), poking around a bookstore, and stuffing my brain with season 6 Stargate, it's now midnight and I'm not awake enough to do such a post. I'll save it for tomorrow ( Read more... )

prayer, fannish, new year, meme

Well, Sam Gamgee would be too obvious, I expect...

Heh. I'm actually not sure that would work out so well...we're too much alike, maybe! :-) But the idea isn't unpleasant. I got this image of working next to Sam in a sunny garden all afternoon, quietly, comfortably together....

Larry, because he's such a sweetheart, and you'd both have your own work to keep you busy, but you'd enjoy taking a break in each other's company.

Awww!

I'm really liking that idea. He *is* a sweetheart, and brainy (which I find deeply attractive), and perceptive in an odd sort of way. We could have deep discussions about the meaning of life, and he'd respect my faith, and as you said, we'd both keep busy but enjoy each other's company when we weren't.

I need a Larry icon. *goes off to hunt one down*

Hubckleberry Finn, because he is an innocent, and because you could probably find better arguments for Christianity that Mark Twain gave him.

Wow. It's been a long while since I read Huckleberry Finn, but I won't object. I recall being very fond of Huck, though I think I'd be a better teacher than date for him. :-)

Daniel Jackson. Why? Because he's a geeky scientist who loves words. He also seems to be very genuine and very, very loving.

Oh yes. :-) He's certainly genuine and very loving. (lucky Sha're, even if it was just for a year.) And the cultural stuff and the linguistics...yeah.

And he may not be as sheerly beautiful as his co-worker Jack, but he's definitly good-looking (with glasses!).

We might drive each other crazy over our little personal guilt trips (oh, right, you haven't seen...um...that episode I'm refering to), but then again, we might help each other not be stupid about such things. Hmmmm.....

I LOVED him in Fire and Water. He really showed his character/acting stripes (depending on which he we are referring to).

I think you two'd be great. And if you don't want him, well I'll take him. :p

RE: Fire and Water, wasn't that a good episode? Yes, Shanks is a fantastic actor (and you're still in season one, so he's still totally channeling Spader, *g*); and Daniel does get to show off who he is, and his courage, here.

I always remember the opening, though, when they tumble through the gate, convinced that Daniel is dead (that and the wake).

Yeah, well...Jack would be scary to actually be in a relationship with. Daniel, on the other hand, is such a faithful guy.... *sigh*

If he doesn't want me, you can try. :-)

Daniel Jackson. Because he's Daniel Freakin' Jackson.
