I prefer canon, to AUs, too. But I've read so much fic now that I have trouble sorting fanon from canon sometimes, especially since Doctor Who has been running so long and I only have a passing familiarity with the classic era.

Head canon is lots of fun. I love hearing different people's theories about the things shows have been silent about.
