13 - Do you prefer canon or fanon when you write? Has writing fanfic for a fandom changed the way you see some or even all of the original source material?
I am a canon girl all the way. Which doesn't mean I don't read or contemplate writing AUs, because the best AUs diverge elegantly from a canon base. I have actually gone out of my way to avoid using popular fanon in my fics (such things as Blair's middle name being Jacob), because I prefer to add my own touches if I need them, and because some fanon tropes are so at odds with the way I see the character (Blair having panic attacks, Daniel being a pacifist, etc).
I do have some of my own fanon--what I have seen called "head canon"--for various universes and characters, and I use that in my fics.
I don't think writing fanfic has ever substantially changed the way I see the original source, no. As I said in a previous answer, I tend to write fic *instead of* meta, as a way of working out things I already see in the source material. It is true that I have sometimes become more sympathetic to a character's point of view in writing them, but that's about it, I think.
14 - Ratings - how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?

17 - Titles - Are they the bane of your existence, or the easiest part of the fic? Also, if you do chaptered fic, do you give each chapter a title, or not?

19 - When you have bunnies, do you sit down and start writing right away, or do you write down the idea for further use?
