for challenge fourteen at picspammy end of the decade

honorable mentions

Shane and Jenny (The L Word), Craig and Ashley (Degrassi), Addison and Alex (Grey's Anatomy), Barney and Robin (How I Met Your Mother), Cappie and Casey (Greek), Tyra and Tim (Friday Night Lights), Eric and Sookie (True Blood), Joey and Rachel (Friends), and Chase and Cameron (House MD)

there's not a whole lot to say about all these, really. I just love them all in their own special way. Eric/Sookie is a little...surprising I'm sure but I just caught up on their scenes as well as the first season of True Blood, and it seems like, especially from the books, that they definitely deserve to be on someones list, somewhere.

10. Sawyer and Kate (Lost)

"You run, I con. A tiger don't change it's stripes."

I don't talk about these two very much, but I've always had a soft spot for them. I think they just fit together perfectly. Compared to Jack/Kate, especially. Sawyer wouldn't change anything about Kate, no matter how much Kate wants to change, she won't be able to, she is who she is and Sawyer loves that Kate.

09. Spencer and Ashley (South of Nowhere)

"Is your love for Ashley unconditional?" "Yes."

What can you really say about Spencer and Ashley? The chemistry was really there even if sometimes the writing didn't execute at times, I think in the end you had to know how much they loved eachother. I miss having a really cute couple to root for.

08. Ryan and Marissa (The OC)

"I love you." "Thank you."

I'll admit, after season one Ryan and Marissa's relationship was a little...blah but I never could stop loving them, no matter what crap they put them through. Her death was such a ratings scam and it makes me so upset because I think their story was farfar from over, no matter what they tried to force on the audience.

07. Jason and Sam (General Hosipital)

"I finally know what it's like to love...and have that feeling returned."

These two really had me pulling from them since Jason tried to force Sam to marry him, lol. They just have an amazing chemistry together, and on top of that Sam doesn't tell Jason that he needs to give up his job and life to be with her, she's always accepted the fact that Jason was in the mob and didn't let it stop her from loving him.

06. Dexter and Rita (Dexter)

"It might sound weird. I want to someday be content. Just feel comfortable, like everyone else. I want..." "...A normal life?" "Yeah, a normal life. That's all I want. Just that."

Anyone who watches Dexter can easily admit that there's something very different about Dexter and Rita. I don't forget Dexter is a serial killer, but I also see how much he cares for Rita, and how he needs her to feel human. That's really the point of their whole relationship...to feel human and normal. They both started off together so damaged but somehow together they had gotten to a better place.

05. Pacey and Joey (Dawson's Creek)

"You love me." "You bug me."

Pacey and Joey were my first couple, ever. I don't think had I watched DC now I'd ship them because my feelings in couples have changed so much, but I can't be entirely sure but when I think of my childhood, Pacey and Joey often pop into my mind. They still make me smile when I watch my dvds, ah how I miss shows like Dawson's Creek.

04. Nate and Blair (Gossip Girl)

"I love you Nate Archibald. Always have, always will."

Nate and Blair are pretty together, I know a shallow way to start off saying this, lol but honestly, I loved them together in the books and this is one of those OH SO RARE cases where you have to say BOOKS>>>TV/MOVIE but honestly, even if the show has ruined their relationship beyond repair, they continue to be adorable and Chace and Leighton really have made Nate/Blair what they should have been, even if the writing is horrible. Maybe someday, soon, right?

03. Tony and Michelle (Skins)

"I'm a twat, okay? I don't know why I'm like this...I think I can change. I can change. The truth is...the truth is I love you."

I don't think it's any surprise that Tony and Michelle are on here. I've really fallen hard for these two over the past two(?) years. They had a relationship that, the first time I watched Skins I completely ignored for the most part. I thought Michelle was sort of annoying and Tony was just a complete douche to her. But soulandscript and I had a re-watch of the first season of Skins on BBC America and I completely fell in love with them. I don't know what the second watch did differently but I can't get enough of them now.

02. Jacob and Bella (Twilight Series)

"How can we be friends when we love each other like this?"

Sigh, the ship I love that I wish I didn't sometimes. Only because they didn't get the ending they deserved. If anyone should have ended up together, it should have been these two. They had a perfect build up, and then some whiny 107 year old virgin vampire had to be a little bitch and whine about "i can't live in a world where you don't exist" stalker much, right. Blah. I love these two to pieces and it only got worse when New Moon came out because Kristen and Taylor's chemistry is just beautiful together.

01. Lucas and Peyton (One Tree Hill)

"I feel it in my heart, don't you?" "Yes."

I don't know if I've ever gotten so upset over a couple in my life. I really am glad they ended up together, even if they're far from what they were together in season one, it doesn't really matter because seeing them happy, married, and with a baby really warmed my heart. I really don't think the Lucas and Peyton we saw in season six are the same Lucas and Peyton that were in season one, but people grow and develop and I think that's a large part as to why I love them so much, I got to sort of kind of grow up with them.
