A picspam for challenge fifteen over at picspammy - Year End Lists.
10. lyla/julie exist in the same time/space!
"Welcome to my world."
3.10: The Giving Tree (Friday Night Lights) - Okay, I'm not even going to lie, this is on the list for the simple fact that Julie and Lyla are sharing breathing space for the first time since the Pilot. They're my two favorite characters, by a long shot, and I'd been dying for some interaction for years. I remember assuming season three was gonna be the last season, and with only three episodes left, I had pretty much accepted the fact that Lyla and Julie would never speak again - BUT THEN! Tami invited Lyla to stay the night and my bbs got TWO scenes! I chose this one because they're in the same frame and everything! And it was so adorable, and just aw. Lyla's reaction to Julie's story is too cute! Also, I have to say that the fact that Lyla slept in Julie's room, and not, like, on the couch or wherever Tim slept when he stayed there, makes it even more awesome. If only Julie were wearing on of Matt's Panther shirts, too!
09. blair talks about a lot of dead people.
"You're my queen. I choose you."
2.24: The Goodbye Gossip Girl (Gossip Girl) - This scene was pretty short and everything, but I was just so glad that they made sure to include this in the episode. I actually would have preferred if they just left it like this, instead of having Jenny actually become Queen. I think the knowledge that Blair picked her meant the world to Jenny - because of what she said in 204, about how she wanted to be Blair's friend, and she wanted Blair to like her. She could have just gotten popular through Serena (via Dan), but she respected Blair, and having her approval meant so much to her, so to have Blair chose her to ~pass her headband down to, was heartwarming for me to see. If only the show did their dynamic justice more often!
08. one of my ships finally ~spoons!
"I don't want you to talk either."
1.08: Dance Little Sister (10 Things I Hate About You) - This scene would have been adorable without the spooning, but that totally put it over the top for me. I'm a sucker for sisters, and I loved their dynamic in the movie, and it's what made me watch the show. They almost always fight or mock each other, so this scene was just an adorable change. I love that they weren't being mushy about anything and having a heart to heart, and then they were cuddling - but they both just had crappy nights, and were 'not talking' about said nights, and Bianca just reached over and pulled Kat to her, and Kat just went with it without a second thought. Too cute. It really shows how comfortable and strong their relationship really is.
07. silver/dixon get to be very pretty.
"I missed you."
2.01: To New Beginnings (90210) - I spent the last bit of last season waiting for the writers to put me out of my misery and break these two up, so when I read the sides and saw that they were still together in the premiere, I was pissed. But then I realized that they were breaking up by the end of the episode, so I was cool. So yeah, watching this scene, I knew they were breaking up, but I very much appreciated the fact that the writers gave us this scene and this kiss before doing so, since they totally fucked them and their fans over last season. It wouldn't have been very nice of them to not give us anything good before breaking them up. Daylight! Tongue! Bottom lip kissage! Pretty angle! BUT THAT FUCKING BLACK BOX.
06. the cartwright kids kill me with adorable.
"Well this sucks."
2.17: Guilty Treasures (Greek) - These two kill me in every kind of scene they have, but their more meaningful scenes are few and far between, and they're always awesome. PLUS, this scene totally snuck up on me! I had no idea it was coming. I thought the episode was gonna end with Max leaving, but as soon as Rusty ran up, I started getting so excited! After Max left, and they were just standing there, I was like 'Omg, hug hug!' I'm glad Rusty listened! Sooo adorable. They didn't have to say anything, just be adorable. Also, it totally looked like Jacob was gonna go for a head kiss but didn't. That would have killed me dead.
05. bh get high and lol about oral sex (!!)
"What did Zelda say? Oryctolagus something! Oryctolagus cunnilinig ..."
7.08: (I Just) Died In Your Arms (One Tree Hill) - Obvs, every single BH scene in this episode was A+, but I couldn't very well say every scene, so I had to pick this one. Visually, the one under the blanket is the cutest. Dialogue wise, the last scene is cutest. But overall, this one is my favorite because it is adorable and lulzy and COME ON, they talk about oral sex! Hilarious. I will believe that Sophia and Joy inproved that part until I'm told otherwise, by the way. PS: High!BH > Drunk!BH. Thank you, OTH.
04. glee kids shit rainbows and puppies.

1.10: Ballad (Glee) - There are a few scenes from the first thirteen episodes of Glee that I absolutely adore, but I'm positive that there isn't another scene that I rewatched more than this one. I can't even begin to list all the reasons I love this scene, but I'll try; I love the song like whoa, they're singing it to my bb Quinn (and Finn), Dianna and Cory's reactions are genuine!, I love when the cast just gets to jam and be adorable, and Quinn/Mercedes! This scene just fills me with smiles and sunshine and happiness.
03. thomas/emily become my skins otp.
"You can wear mine."
3.09: Katie & Emily (Skins) - Easily my favorite Skins scene ever. I never thought anything about these two, even though they had a cute scene earlier in the season, and I liked/loved both characters, but as soon as I saw this scene as a sneak peek, I was just like - holy fuck are they amazing. Like, there are no words for how fucking sweet Thomas is in this scene, literally giving her the coat off his back and the shoes off his feet! Add in his amazing non-reaction to her big coming out, and it's perfect.
02. hell freezes over (gg addresses the pilot)!
"I never apologized, for what happened last year."
2.21: Seder Anything (Gossip Girl) - This whole storyline came out of nowhere! I think everyone in fandom had pretty much accepted that the writers wanted us to just completely forget about the Chuck/Jenny rapeyness from the Pilot, so for it to finally be brought up, was just ... shocking. This was back when GG aired a day earlier in Canada. I remember turning it on, and seeing the Pilot scene on the previlously ons, and being like 'OMG, are they really gonna go there?!' and then they did! Man, I had no idea how much I wanted resolution to that until Jenny finally mentioned it. Everything about all the Chuck/Jenny scenes from this episode were amazing - I loved her telling him off and being the one to snap him out of his pity party - but this scene was definitely the winner. The music! The simplicity and sincerity of his apology! The look on her faceeeee! Gah. Ed and Taylor just owned the shit out of that scene.
01. brooke penelope davis is a bamf.
"I need you, mom."
6.13: Things A Mama Don't Know (One Tree Hill) - This scene set the bar for swoonage in 2009 very high, and as you can see, nothing was able to beat it. I had just started to like Brooke/Sam in the previous episode, and all it took was this episode/scene to convert me to an obsessed shipper. Brooke's desperation and worry all episode just broke my heart, and the fact that she just ran right into her attacker's house, to save Sam, totally sold me! The way she grabbed Sam's face and told her that she wasn't leaving her there! Sam screaming at X to leave Brooke alone! THE HUG OF EPICNESS. Watching this scene live, I was loving the shit out of it, and could just totally feel the 'mom' coming, and commented that she better not say it because it would ruin the scene for me, and I totally groaned when she said it, but over time, I have learned to love and accept it, knowing she had to say that to get Brooke to snap out of it. The way Brooke finally looks away from X and up at Sam when she says that, makes it all worth it. The look on her face/in her eyes is amazing. But seriously, the hug! Favorite hug ever. They're just holding on for dear life <3.
