Hello! Here I am sharing the first chapter of this fanfic,I have to confess that I love this story and I call it "my masterpiece" XD
This fanfic was inspired by the history of the Honey and Clover the movie, and I want to make clear that I only took some things of the original plot and some skills of the characters, after that, everything is created by me. Also, as this story is completely an alternate universe, so I decided to share with you a kind of profile of the characters, so maybe you don't find it confusing to read the fanfic. Here, Ohno is the youngest of all of them, and Jun is the oldest. You have to read the profile of them before you read the fanfic, wich you'll find

Summary: Sho's life suddenly changes when he meets a shy boy named Satoshi.
The best things in life came when it was less expected, and Sakurai Sho never thought he would fall in love. Being in love was only for lucky people, being in love was only for people who were born for it, because not everyone could have the privilege to love and to be loved; and most of his acquaintances were suffering from unrequited love and somehow, he felt lucky to be alone.
.
Sho came to Tokyo after finishing high school, leaving his hometown, Hokkaido, to join the Tama Art University because he wanted to study a degree in Industrial Art/Industrial Woodworking. It has been two years since that, and Sho already felt that Tokyo, the environment of the faculty, people, and life in general, were already part of him.
.
That day, he had gone out early from classes, so he was ready to go home. He lived two blocks away from college, in a comfortable neighborhood built for students like him, whom lived a little away from their faculty. He shared the house with two friends, Masaki Aiba and Kazunari Ninomiya; long time ago there was another guy, Matsumoto Jun, but he was always constantly coming and going, and finally disappearing for about 8 months.
.
“I'm tired.” Sho sighed as he opened the door. “Tadaima...” He said quietly, closing the door behind him and just then, a cushion flew like a bullet, right at him, hitting him in the face.
.
“I told you not to eat my food!” Someone sreamed. Aiba appeared from nowhere, running down the hallway only in his underwear, while behind him Ninomiya was (who most of people often to call him Nino), shouting a bunch of insults that would make the most perverted person blushed.
.
“I didn’t know that cake was yours!” Aiba said as he was at one end, looking at the young man with fear. Sho only watched them intently.
.
“I didn’t know that cake was yours.” Ninomiya imitated Aiba by a sneer. “Next time you eat something that I bought…” He pointed to himself and continued. “I’ll pluck your hair one by one, okay?”
.
“Okay Nino.” Aiba muttered while nodded.
.
“Oh, hi Sho-kun. Okaeri.”
.
“Hello...” Answered a confused Sho, as he took the cushion from the floor, while Ninomiya was returning to his room. “You took/ate his food again, didn’t you?” He asked to Aiba with amusement.
.
“I never imagined that he would be angry that much this time.” Aiba answered with a smile.
.
“Well… you know exactly how Nino is when it comes to food.” Aiba took the cushion from Sho’s hands and shrugged.
.
“I guess I like to see him upset.” He raised his eyebrows and smiled. Aiba was tall, lanky lanky and dark brown hair. He wore glasses and didn’t go anywhere without them.
.
“Speaking of food...”
.
“Yes, Sho-chan, I’ve lunch and your meal is in the refrigerator. You just have to warm it. Nino also saved ice cream for you. Geez, you’re lucky, Nino only shared his stuff with you.” He pouted. “Anyway, I'm going to wear some clothes, gotta go to work.”
.
“Thank you, Aiba-kun. And please stop bothering Ninomi. He is moody by default; don’t make him angry in a purpose.” Aiba winked before walking away. Sho took off his backpack and took off his shoes to move to his room, wore something comfortable and went back to the kitchen, heating his lunch to eat it and started doing his homework.
.
When he was sitting in the dining room, he watched the small figure of Nino moving around. Seconds later he was in the dining room too, sitting in front of Sho.
.
“Itadakimasu.” Nino said as his way of greeting, leaving a bowl with chocolate ice cream and M&M's in front of him.
.
“Thanks, itadakimasu.” Sho smiled at Nino and sighed. “Awful welcoming you gave me; you hit me in the face with a cushion.”
.
“Sorry, but I... ah...” He sighed. “Aiba-kun gets me out of my boxes. He knows that I am picky about food, and he knows very well that my "snacks" are special. I like to eat it, so I won’t fall asleep while I’m working.”
.
“Don’t lie, Nino. I know very well that you always love to eat candies, but... I don’t blame you. I blame it on Aiba-kun for eating what is yours.” Said the dark haired man before taking a gulp of iced tea.
.
“Thanks Sho. Besides me, you're the only thinking person here.” Nino smiled, taking a spoonful of ice cream.
.
Sho stared at his friend for a few seconds; He was wearing a baggy shirt of many colors with lyrics in black that said “Jesus is cool." He had short and messy brown hair and a smile on his face that would make people to think he was more youger that he already was. Despite being just 19, he was a prodigy of Graphic Design, yet he was still more younger than Sho; Nino could be considered his senpai because the younger man study so much more than him and took more subjects that Sho in one semester, so he was much more advanced.
.
Despite his bad temper sometimes, his sarcastic comments and his black humor, both got along very well and had very few arguments between them because they both respected each other and they didn’t do what the other disliked.
.
“I'll talk seriously with Aiba-kun. Don’t worry.” Sho said to calm him down.
.
“Is okay. If Aiba returns to eat something of mine, I will prank him.” Sho laughed.
.
“No firecrackers in his room.” The dark haired man said referring to the last ‘prank’ of Ninomiya. “Last time I almost died of a heart attack.”
.
“Got it. No firecrackers, I promise.”
.
“Don’t bring weird animals or bring smelly things, anything. I always ended up getting injured too.” Sho tried to sound serious.
.
“Okay, boring guy.” Nino pouted and continued eating his ice cream in silence, ending the conversation.
Sho stood as his lunch ended, giving a meaningful look at his friend.
.
“I'll go to the study room, I have to work. Are you coming with me or are you going to stay here?”
.
“I'll go get the DS and I’ll go with you. Fortunately, I’ve finished all I had to do.” He smiled smugly and raised his eyebrows.
.
“Okay, braggart, I’ll wait for you.” Nino nodded and stood up, leaving the bowl on the table while he went to his room in search of the tiny device to which he was addicted.
.
When Nino had come to college, he moved into this house because they needed a partner to share the rent, and also because he wanted to. Nino lived quite close to the university, but he wanted to be near of his friend, Sho Sakurai.
.
Despite his sloppy appearance and his shy attitude, Sho was a very interesting guy, with whom it was easy to have a conversation, since they met, Sho was trying to fulfill his whims in order not to see him angry, and that made his feelings towards Sho changed.
.
When Nino arrived at the house, he didn’t mind the older guys thate were living there. Matsumoto Jun was a madman who was always constantly coming and going, like a nomad; and there was Aiba-kun, who was a boy with a heart of gold, but too scatterbrained, which made Nino and him argue all the time. At first, Sho and Ninomiya shared a room, but the younger, knowing he was completely in love with Sho, as Jun disappeared for more than four full months, Nino cleaned his room, took his stuff and kept them in another place; occupying that room instead of his senpai, especially for being a little further away from Sho and to be able to disguise those feelings for him.
.
He never had the guts to say anything, because he was afraid of being rejected. He was treated as the "little brat" and he knew perfectly well that his friend wasn’t going to believe him, maybe he would stop talking to him and Nino didn’t want Sho to choose the second option.
.
“Ninomi! Come on, come with me...” He sighed upon hearing the voice of his friend and smiled slightly, feeling moved by that.
.
“I'll go, desperate boy.” He took the white DS and sighed, going back to where Sho at.
.
Definitely, he didn’t want to lose Sho like that, so if he had to shut his love for his entire life, so it would be.
.
* * *
.
That morning, ever since Sho opened his eyes, he felt like that day would be different, and it wasn’t because it was Friday, or because he had any special plans for that night; he really didn’t know, and that feeling disconcerted him a bit.
.
“Will I going to die?” He asked quietly after brush his teeth.
.
“Talking alone?” Aiba asked, entering the bathroom and smiling to see the younger man. He ruffled Sho’s hair gently as he stood by his side. “Then they'll think you're crazy.”
.
Sho just smiled back, washing his face before leaving the bathroom; He prepared a quick breakfast and after eating it, he left ft the house with Ninomiya, both going to college.
.
He had arrived early to the class that day. He sat quietly in a chair at the back, waiting for the teacher. He heard some other conversations among the few students in the classroom, but Sho wasn’t interested to pay attention to it.
.
Sho sighed again and looked out the window, seeing something interesting in front of him... in one of the classrooms that were in the hallway next to him, someone was painting. That was completely normal in his faculty, but it was the first time he saw a painting and felt so many emotions in the chest, and to top it off, the painting wasn’t finished; he could see it despite the distance, and still such sublimity embraced him. The boy drew delicate brushstrokes of colors with his canvas, shaping a beautiful sunset.
.
Sho had never seen anything so sublime.
.
He deduced that it was a boy, because of the width of his delicate shoulders and because he had short hair. Sho could only see his back, covered with a gray shirt... and the frame. And nothing else. Sho leaned forward, eager to see beyond the back of the unknown artist; he wished he could see these beautiful brushstrokes and above all, to see the face of the person who was doing so masterful piece.
.
“Sakurai-kun... Sakurai-kun?” Sho’s alongside classmate touched his shoulder, removing him from his reverie. “The teacher has arrived.” He added with a sigh.
.
“Ah, thanks Kagawa-kun.” Regretfully, he focused all his attention in class, momentarily forgetting the beautiful picture and its unknown painter until the class ended two hours later. When Sho packed his things in the backpack, he looked out the window, hoping to find him there, but no. The classroom looked empty; no students, no painting, and neither were the painter.
.
He didn't know why, but somehow, it saddened him a little that the painter wasn’t there. It was the first time he felt such sensitivity with a painting that wasn’t even finished... definitely, that person must be special.
.
Sho left the room and walked down the crowded corridor, heading for the stairs, heading for the stairs to bring him to the lower floor to get his next class, but a voice stopped him in the third step.
.
“Sakurai! Sakurai-kun! Come here.” He sighed upon hearing the voice of the director of the faculty, Nagase Tomoya.
.
“Here I am.” Sho said in response, turning toward him.
.
“I was going to talk to you about something regarding the student meeting next week...” Tomoya stopped, looking back. “Hey, Satoshi! Hurry up; I don’t have my whole life to wait for you.” Tomoya refocused his attention on the dark haired man. “Sorry, as I said, the meeting will be an hour later, what do you think?”
.
“Okay, I'll spread the news then, Nagase-san.” He answered by a slight bow.
.
“Oh, you finally arrive, I thought someone had eaten you.” Sho heard Tomoya talking to someone else. “Sakurai-kun, let me introduce you to my nephew, Ohno Satoshi.”
.
When he looked up, he was shocked at what he had seen... that silhouette, that hair, that somewhat neglected/worn-out gray shirt; and when he lowered his gaze to his tiny hands, it were dirty with various colors of paint, Sho’s heart stopped, literally.
.
He was in front of the mysterious painter.
.
He flashed a shy little smile, which melted Sho’s bones. He bowed slightly as he twisted his stained fingers, making Sho's heart skip a beat.
.
That guy was an angel.
.
And Sho had fallen in love with him.
