[Drabble] Irony

He walked past her, looking as if he never met her before.
She desperatly tried to grasp on to something: a smirk, a blush in his cheeks, a twitch of his lips.... Something......something that would indicate she wasn't drowning.
Loosing sight of what was ahead of her.
But he erased all hopes in one move.
She sat there, reminiscing how it all begun.
The flirting at first, innocent but insisting. The game that soon followed, dangerous but thrilling and the ultimate choice that she was unable to make.
The ultimatum had been given a few months before, clear and precise. No room left for doubts or adventurous supositions.
She had decided to take it lightly, not really understanding the degree of finality. She couldn't let go just yet.
Her heart just ached as much as his, but the fear of letting the other take control - Entire Control - over her - mind, body and soul - petrified her.
She was willing to try.
But, he wanted all, or nothing.
Past the shock, she breathed again. Finally noticing the tears that had freely fall from her eyes.
She didn't have to hold back anything anymore.
She could give in entirely to this nightmare....Oh the Irony!
