You know, other than the tornado watch (which according to all the local meteorologists isn't very serious, just a precaution), this is my kind of evening.
The rain that's been threatening all day and making it rather oppressively humid and warm for this time of year, has finally begun falling. It's coming down steady but not hard, making a lovely patter on the balcony and there's the faintest rumble of thunder in the distance. There's just enough of a breeze to stir the air around and tickle the windchimes but it's calm enough that I can leave my balcony doors open.
Heaven.
On the other hand, at work Sunday night, a woman (approximately 30) asked me what the movie 'Bobby' was about. No big deal. If you haven't heard of it the movie could be about anyone.
So I said, "It's about Bobby Kennedy." She just gave me a blank stare and shook her head a little.
I added, "John F. Kennedy's brother." Same response.
I continued somewhat desperately, "JFK, former president of the United States: assassinated in the 60s. A couple of years later his brother Bobby, running for president, was also assassinated."
She just shrugged and said "The 60s was before I was born."
