Have you tried Graze?

Have you even heard of Graze? I hadn't until spasticat (thanks Ali!) offered a friend's code to those that wanted. Take a look. It's a little box (smaller than I was expecting to be honest) with 4 healthy snacks sealed in their individual trays. The first box is free with no obligations so you have absolutely nothing to lose. Also, if you stick around every 5th box is free. The 3 in the middle are $6 each and that includes delivery. It might seem a little steep at $1.50 per treat, but if you get a mundane and relatively unhealthy bag of chips out of a vending machine they're generally at least a buck apiece. If you stay with it for 5 boxes that's just $.90 apiece ($1.20 per snack every 5 boxes afterwards).

You originally sign up for a box every 2 weeks but after you start you can opt to one every 4 weeks (or I guess one per week in some parts of the country). You can quit any time. When you use the 'friend's code' below to sign up I get $1. I could use it as a discount for myself but I'll donate it to the Graze School of Farming instead. So use the code, get a free box of nibbles and give a $1 to a school in Uganda that teaches young people to self-sustaining. It's a Win/Win scenario!

Yeah, I know, it sounds like I'm shilling for them and to be truthful I might not stick with it after the 5th box. It depends on finances. But I can stop and start whenever I want.

If you do decide to sign up, be sure and take a few minutes to go through the considerable array of nibbles they have to offer and nix those you don't want. Like I immediately 'trashed' anything with white chocolate in it because I don't like it. You can also nix anything non-vegan, non-celiac or those with dairy. I wish I'd taken a little more time to check out the nutritional facts that can be obtained to each snack. My first box contained the Apple Cinnamon Flapjacks (like little moist granola bars) and the super berry detox with blueberries, cranberries, goji berries and green raisins which were both absolutely delicious but had way to many carbs for a diabetic. My other two treats - the bananas foster with fudge pieces, crunchy honeyed almond slivers, pumpkin seeds and banana coins and the Yaki soba with soba peanuts, edamame beans, chili and lemon chickpea noodles (think crunchy little chow mein noodles) and chili broad beans were equally delicious and much lower in carbs.

After I received the first box I went through each category and 'trashed' things with higher carbs. I also trashed the simple nut combinations because I can get those anywhere. This still left me with a lot of choices to try - both sweet and savory and some in between. In my next box I'm looking forward to trying the Honeycomb crunch (milk chocolate covered honeycomb bits, almonds and raisins) and the smokey gazpacho dip with little whole meal toasty bread rounds. I'll let you know how the next box goes. If you sign up, let me know what really hit the spot with you. And please, do give at least one free box a try.

Use the friend's code and unlock the best possible start to graze: DAWNC95JP

Oh, and it's only available at this time to the lower 48 US states (although I guess it's been available in England for quite some time.
