Escapade 2013
OK, I'm definitely planning on attending Escapade this February...hopefully.
A friend has very generously offered to put up some people who might want to fly into a city a little closer and drive to Escapade to save money. The savings wouldn't be extreme but the difference in airfare coupled with the savings of the shuttle from LAX to Ventura would be nice.
Unfortunately nothing is set in stone because my finances are precariously balanced enough that any number of things could send all my plans tumbling to the negative side, but I'm going to try.
A deal breaker would be the inability to find a roommate because I just couldn't swing the price of 4 nights on my own. (I plan to arrive on Thurs and leave on Monday morning.) So, anyone need a roommate? Just like 99% of everyone who'll be attending I won't spend that much time in the room and I'm quiet and neat. Very house-trained. I wouldn't mind being a third, either. Any takers? I'll post a notice at the Escapade sites, too.
I'm really looking forward to this but I'll keep myself in reserve so that I won't be devastated if everything goes ass-up. If so I'll just stow away my savings for 2014. *sigh*
