Yesterday I felt considerably better than the last few days but I think I pushed it last night with my eating choices and I had a flair up last night. I figured out that it is a nasty stomach bug that's going around. Several other people at work either have it now or have been through it. And it is nasty.
I'm so not used to being off in the middle of the week. It's a little strange and I keep wanting to follow the patterns that I do on Sat and Sun, which I could but it'd be a little bit of a waste. I'm thinking about going to the movies. I haven't been to a movie in probably over a year and I'm in the mood for a good apocalypse story with lots of mindless violence and explosions so I'm thinking about Battle: Los Angeles. I don't go to the movies on weekends - too crowded. I just have to give my breakfast time to digest a little and make sure I don't have a repeat of last night. That would suck even more out in public.
In the last few days I've watched about 2/3 of S2 of Prison Break. As I discussed with
tartysuz there are definitely plot holes big enough to fly a 747 through with a comfortable margin for error, but it is kind of fun. It's interesting to be able to tie the clips I've seen in the several vids I've watched to the context of the show and to put a little background into the fic I've read. I still don't care enough about the stories of the supporting characters to miss the stories if they went away, but I can follow along with enough interest. I am happy to say that I like Sara now. Maybe there was more to her in the first season, but in the first half dozen or so episodes of S2 she was so colorless and rather pathetic that I kept wondering what Michael saw in her. But now I get it. I just wonder why the writers felt it necessary to run her through such a wimpy, lackluster phase.
It's fun watching Mahone unravel and I'm looking forward to him totally loosing his shit and then knitting it all back together.
It's a nice day even if it is a bit cooler and lightly overcast. Maybe I'll run over to the lake and take a nice walk before the movie.
Oh, and the weather is so nice suddenly that I need to dig out the hummingbird feeders and set them up. the little guys could be making an appearance anytime now and I want them to see the welcome mat rolled out.
