#DisneyLandResortParkFact: #DeathInTheKingdom1 The first ever recorded accident at Disneyland was in 1964. Just 5 years after the Matterhorn Bobsled made it's debut in the park. Fifteen-year-old, Mark Maples, was riding the Matterhorn without his seat belt on. No one knows why. When the ride was reaching it's peak he decided to stand up on the ride. He lost balance and fell off the ride. There are some reports that said he fell down to a lower track. Some reports have said he fell all the way down to the concrete, fracturing his skull. He get's rushed to the hospital but dies several days later there.
