I dunno...I feel really good today. It's just one of those days when you feel like, hey...this isn't so bad...this is alright. You know, one of those days. I think it's probably because I've just gotten past all the tests this week, so it's some sort of extended relief feeling.
Ooh, I voted today! Voting on the amendments is a bitch, though. You have to go research what the amendments mean because the ballot language, in an attempt to remain impartial, can be confusing. I had to vote to put all these people I'd never heard of before today into office. Seriously, what were the founding fathers thinking? I mean, I understand that people should have a say as to how their government should be run, but being a part of government is tedious, time-consuming, frustrating, and...boring as all hell. It's human nature that I won't really care about something until it directly affects me, and most of the stuff I'm voting on will never have anything to do with me. So I'm not really voting in my best interests, I also have to consider others and what I would want were the legislation ever to actually apply to me. Ick. I got to a point where I was thinking, "You know what...I just want a dictatorship. Tell me what I can and can't do and take away my right to complain, please, I beg you." I guess I should count my blessings because when something does apply to me, I have the ability to control it. Whatever.
