here. She wanted to see something of mine. How was I supposed to make that happen? If I thought about it, would everything change again and we'd be transported? Apparently so because from the kitchen we were standing in front of a church.
"This is a place of sanctuary," I told her as we watched my younger mortal self running toward the door, fear rolling off her in waves as she desperately tried to get inside. She was covered in blood. Her parents blood.
"He's coming for me," I told Faith, and as my mortal self made it into the church, from the darkness he appeared. He was coming for me, and the place of sanctuary would become a place of rebirth.
"Let's go," I took her hand in mine, dragging her inside so she could see. Maybe I should be scared, but if he hadn't done this then I wouldn't be who I am now.
As we entered the church, we found him backing me up until I was pressed against the floor, looking up at the cross and praying. He laughed. Of course he laughed. Prayer couldn't help me now.
"He'd killed my parents. See there blood on me? Now it was my turn. That's my daddy. He's the reason I found you, baby."
