I'd had enough of waiting for people to figure the prophecies out. Had enough of secret meetings on the island that allowed me only a taste of what was truly mine. My girl was becoming more addicted to my teeth ripping at her flesh. I was still a little elated from my night out when I finally kissed Caleb goodnight and headed inside. I was still kind of wired but I knew I couldn't be out any later than this without my brother and my parents totally freaking out. So I just planned to intrude on whatever Tyler was and make him hang out with me for a little while before bed.

I did relax when she said so. Marginally. My dad was out which means he wouldn't smell her or whatever. My mom and my brother could only smell normal human stuff and they were upstairs. That was the advantage I guess about our huge castle of a house. You could get away with a lot more. Still, I was nervous that Daddy would realize he needed something at the house or that Tyler would come downstairs for a late night snack. Maybe my mom would decide to go out on patrol.
