Asexuality
To a friend: Asexual can refer to a creature with no physical sex, or to the sexuality or lack thereof: a person with no interest in sex or very, very little interest in sex. Celibate is to asexual what 'dieting' is to 'fasting'. Even that is not a good analogy, because celibacy is something you choose despite desire to engage in sexual activities, and asexuality is a lack of desire to engage in sexual activities. It's not a choice, it's just how we are.
