lvsinsanity, sorry I wasn't online, but I was pretty busy yesterday.
Today I went to the wood near my house on my break and picked
spring beauties. We have hundreds of acorn tops scattered all over the wood's floor, because here where I live, we have hundreds of oak trees. (I walk outside now to see my car dusted in a light yellow coat of pollen.) I remember making fairy houses out of sticks and moss and bits of bark and pebbles, and using the acorn tops as dishes for seeds and tiny acorns. The wood is a small one, all that's left of the forest that used to be there before the development- one round patch of woods and a thin strip running between us and the townhouses. Still, it's nice to visit every now and then.
On my way back home, I checked out the tree my best friend from middle school and I had carved our names in. It's still there, our initials and the year '97. Fourteen years ago. I can hardly believe that much time has passed! The writing is warped and hard to read now, but still there. I don't even know what she's doing any more.
Another meme:
Give me a pairing and I will write a love note from one to another. The pairing can be my character and yours, mine and someone else's, or anything that strikes your fancy as long as I know who they are.
