I bought
this riding skirt for myself to use as a steampunk-esque outfit, hopefully for Halloween. Though if I really like 'em, I might wear them elsewhere.
Anyway, my father is on another one of his annoying rambles. This time he's ranting about my sister and how she still seems to have a social life despite going to college and being a young mother. Now, Nicole gets very good grades in college, helps clean a lot of the house, and takes care of the kid most of the time. Right now, the baby is in care of his dad while Nicole goes out with her friends, presumably to have a good time. My father is now rabbiting on about how she needs to get her priorities straightened out, possibly because he thinks mothers need to spend every waking moment with their kids, maybe even barefoot and in the kitchen. I have no fucking clue what his deal is, but he's mansplaining motherhood to my mom, all the while calling her 'stupid' for not saying anything about Nicole's choices.
How about this, jerk: it's not your business. My sister's life choices are none of your business. My sister's child-raising skills are none of your business unless the kid is being abused, which he isn't. She can have a life AND go to college AND have a kid, and if she can, it's admirable. Not something for you to complain about. Maybe you should go and get some friends of your own, if you can find anyone who can stand you.
AUUUUGH. FLAMES. ON THE SIDE OF MY FACE.
BRB, stress window-shopping on steampunk sites now.
