I know of no one who got addicted to LotS because of the first episode. Give it time.

When does the addiction hit? And does Richard get much more likeable as time goes on?

I think Richard gets more likable, although more and more the show downplays him and up-plays Kahlan and another awesome women who becomes a regular.

I would watch episode 5, Listener and then 8, Denna, and if you're not interested/enjoying it/intrigued, I'd give it a pass. If you're still on the fence after those two episodes, you might want to skip ahead to the finale with is quite interesting and introduces Cara, who is a HUGE part of why season two is utterly awesome.

...Well, I do admit that I could do with some more Kahlan. That Confessor organization intrigues me.

Do you have a site that I can view the episodes with?

Sadly not. I would check out netflicks, though, if you have an account. For a while all the first season was available for viewing.

You get a LOT more information on the confessors. If you're partial to them, I would definitely check out episode 11, confession.

I don't have an account on Netflix, but I did see the whole first season on there. I watched the first episode on megavideo, but the sound and the picture were way off, so their lips finished moving way before I even heard the lines. >_

Oh, eek! It's almost possible to enjoy it when it's like that.

If you don't have a Netflix account, do you have a video store nearby? The first season has been out for a while, I believe.

Best Buy probably has it, then. And possibly Wal-Mart?

I'd be surprised if they didn't.
