So, when my sister and I were little, we got our hands on a pair of cheap walkie talkies from someplace and set up communications between our rooms. Now, these walkie talkies were so cheap that the range didn't last if were more that a room or so away from each other. They were white and pink plastic with purple dials. Still, they were walkie talkies, and we engaged in our fantasies of secret agents for a couple of hours before something very strange happened.
The cops jacked our signal. I am not kidding you. As Marilyn and I sat blissfully chatting away with our codenames Flying Eagle (me) and Shiny Unicorn (her, discussing the enemy base and our plans to infiltrate, a sudden, clearly male, very adult voice interrupted our discussion via walkie talkie frequency. "You kids are weird." Apparently a passing cop car got ensared with our signal, or ours momentarily connected with his, but for some reason or another, we had a very short talk with the police before returning to our main mission.
