and heaven knows i'm not that girl

Spent my break watching one fragment of Cinderella 2 and trying to drink tea for the caffeine. I think I definitely like coffee better, even if I don't enjoy either of them for their taste alone. I can't drink coffee or tea straight, but I think coffee has a richer, more robust taste. Tea is more watery, even when it's not reminding me of dead leaves. Still, caffeine is caffeine.

I was inspired to watch Cinderella 2 after reading the Anastasia secret on fandomsecrets, and it was right. I loved the treatment of Anastasia and her romance with the baker, even if it had Cinderella being an insufferable matchmaking Mary Sue. Ugh, Cinderella. I tolerated her in the original movie, but they inserted this tiny hint of modern grrl spunk in the character along with a constant air of complete serenity, and I just can't stand her now. The prince in this movie is as boring as ever. Anastasia, in comparison, is a breath of normal girl fresh air who goes against her bitch mother for the guy she wants to go to the ball with. She even commandeers their carriage and drives it herself. (Of course, they HAD to pretty her up for this, so she gets a more flattering dress and hairstyle. Great.) The baker is so shy and sweet, though. I liked Anatastasia's love of romance and hint of a moral compass that was shown in the third movie, and it's shown here as well.  Rock on, sweetheart.
