The letter I was given was O.
Ootori Kyouya
Ah, the shadow king of the Ouran Host Club. I love this guy. He's so quietly plotting and methodical and slightly sadistic in his understated sense of humor. He does the glowing glasses effect that I love so much in anime. Did I mention I love characters who wear glasses? It adds a certain finesse. He's the very image of a modern teenage businessman, with all his plotting and 'I do everything for profit'. Except for that very definite streak of morality in him. Oh, Kyouya.
Ohtori Kanae
The sacrificial lamb. I think one of the creepiest moments in the series was seeing her sitting on the couch, eyes completely dull and empty, being hand-fed apple slices by Anthy and Akio. This girl is just trapped in the spider web, her father is being killed for convenience, she's being married off to her father's murderer, and her mother is having sex with aforementioned fiancee criminal. She's the marionette attached to too many strings. It's tragic that the last glimpse we have of her is the apple-feeding scene...something that seems to imply that this princess, at least, was never rescued.

The Fire Lord! The ultimate enemy! THE MAN WHO WENT FACELESS FOR TWO SEASONS! Seriously, when we were shown his face I had this brief moment of: "Well, gosh, he looks like a normal guy." I did not, however, think he looked particularly like Zuko. I think Zuko has higher cheekbones and half a face. (BUUUURN. Literally!) We don't see much of him, and what we do see is clearly played up to be "Gasp! Evol evol evol!" The most impression I had of him was during the flashbacks to Zuko's childhood. I kind of liked him better as the shadowy figure in the background, because that's the way super evil characters are best shown. When we get up close and personal, they lose all interest. Azula was more dynamic than he was.
Oroku Karai
I love this woman. She is a grey character who is the head of the Japanese section of the Foot. (The leader of an underground ninja Mafia.) We first see her in business attire, plotting. From then, she makes a series of strategic maneuvers, takes down Leonardo and threatens him with a sword, enlists the aid of the turtles, and basically is an amazing, skilled, competent badass who is incidentally female. She is shown as feminine as well as powerful, and not given a lot of 'masculine' behaviors to compensate. She is given traditionally male motivation, (duty, honor, family, not romance,) and is a believable enemy and challenge for the turtles. She has a strict code of honor and is torn between it and her service to her clearly evil 'father', and has an awesome rivalry/friendship with Leo. Karai is my favorite female character in TMNT, hands-down.
Olivia Armstrong
Another example of impressive female characters in Fullmetal Alchemist, this woman is the head of an army. She is brave, strong, steadfastly loyal and a wonderful commander as well as being a great strategist. She has the tendency of being cruelly blunt, she doesn't tolerate stupidity of any kinds, and is HARD AS STEEL. Also, she wields a sword.
