The drive belt on the riding mower broke. Sears employees are idiots. Lowe's had the belt, cheaper than the list price at Sears where they did NOT have the belt for their own damn lawnmower.   He had to drop the entire motor to get it back on.  Apparently this wasn't nearly as hard as it sounded as he is now happily mowing away.  All hail God the ( Read more... )

Daffodils, Hyacinths, tulips, Iris, and the pumpkin seeds have sprouted!   Many of the trees, especially the maples, have buds...but one of the maples still has her leaves on the lower branches. Makes me worry that we will still have one more ice cold slap back into winter before we're done with it.

We had wonderful weather and made three more boxes.  I am going to plant as many different kinds of basil as I can find this year.   One of them will be for Thymes and one for Oreganos.  Maybe some Dill and Parsley in there since those are also perennial.  I am so excited. We drove around town today, paying bills and stopped at AC Moore and Hobby Lobby for supplies.   I'm making a necklace for a young girl's maidening rite (which I will NOT be attending, long story)  and needed to find some spacers and accents that went well with Tiger's Eye.
