A class at work Saturday morning. Man, the world of student loans just keeps getting more interesting and complicated. Oh well, job security. If you've got student loans, look into consolidation before June 30 on your existing ones. The rates are going to fixed 6.1% on all Stafford loans disbursed after 07/01/06.
After class I drove to Nashville. We had a wonderful time. Went to Wild Oats and bought organic fixins for my Green Goddess Chicken recipe. Did my mouth water before I came up with that recipe? It's simple as shit and to die for. I've been told I could get $20 a plate for the stuff. I will post it in a minute.
We also went to Green Hills mall where my friend and coven brother treated myself and my HPs each with Homedics Body Massager with HEAT. It's AWESOME. I knew I loved that man! He's such a thoughtful person, and he's a MAN! I tell ya my faith in man is being renewed on a very frequent basis these days.
I stayed the night in Nashville and left about 8:00 this morning so I got home around 11:30, I lose an hour coming over the Cumberland Plateau. Got home and Boo was out. KIDS! No sense of responsiblity. Apparently they didn't notice she was out. Hopefully they let her out this morning and not sometime last night. It's not below freezing but it still gets down into the 30's and the cat is 16 years old.
I planted the Carolina Jessamine that Robb bought me last week. I came home from work and it was sitting on the porch. I planted it between the wisterias so they will all go up the trellis. I also liberated some daffodils from the woods and put them in the flower bed out to the side. I bought 20 of those straight bed edgers with the scalloped edge. So much nicer than the bricks. I finished pruning down the nandina bushes out front and got started on the side one. I took some of the lower hanging branchs off the magnolia too.
At this point, I'm giving serious thought to edging the whole damn driveway with those things. Everything looks so NEAT now! Can you tell I'm loving homeowmership? I need a project list so I can be more focus on what I am doing. I can tell I'm low on minerals because the ADD is rampant. I walked back outside this afternoon and realized I'd left the hatch to the car open, and the bird food, cat food and cat litter lying on the driveway waiting to come in. I even managed to clean up after myself today instead of leaving bushes lying all over the yard. Well, I did leave the magnoias, it was dark by the time I remember them.
Now I have to go pot up the rest of the seedlings so I can start on the next batch. The thyme, oregano, sunflowers, luffa and cilantro and parsley are doing well. I actually managed to root a cutting from the heirloom rose bush out back when we pruned it. It's actually got shoots and green leaves on it. I am so proud. Yeah, I know I'm easily amused.
