Sheesh, July is over already?!? Here I'd been planning on keeping with my LJ and now it's been a month since I posted -- and a quite lame post at that. ;-)
I don't really have time to post right now either, though. Summer school has gone really well. I've had such a great time. I have one more week and a day of the program and then I'll have four weeks until the school year starts. Very few elementary jobs have been posted yet this summer. But that's what I expected. I expect it to be late August and into September, possibly even October, when elementary jobs will come up. Districts will be waiting to see how many kids actually show up for school before they decide they need another teacher.
Tonight is my ten year high school reunion. I know I'm a baby compared to most of my F-list, but it's shocking nonetheless. I've really only stayed in touch with my two best friends, so it's been ten years since I've seen most of these people. Thanks to Facebook, however, I know what most of them are doing these days. So I'm excited and nervous for the reunion at the same time. I enjoyed high school, but I would never want to go back to those years. College, yes, high school, not so much. But it should be a fun time. I'm getting together with some old friends both before and after the reunion so that will be nice. A lot of them all went to MSU and stayed in the Lansing area so they've kept up with each other and often get together. I, however, went to school elsewhere and fell off their grid about two years after graduation.
Anyway, hope everyone is having a good summer!! It's been un-Godly hot and humid in my school building with no A/C. Time to go clean! I forgot my sister is staying here tonight while we're gone and I need to clean up the place first.
