Nathan Barley

I have just watched Nathan Barley and am really bloody impressed. Wasn't as funny as I expected but really made me think how stuck we are culturally in some bizarre circle. I can completely relate to.. whatever the character played by Howard from the Boosh is called(im terrible with names). The people he works with think that they are smarter than the majority, that they're subversive, but at the end of the day they're as washed up in their own little world as the people that they think they're better than. I quite often worry that I'm the same, but at the same time feel that I am in a minority and outnumbered by apathetic ignorent idiots. This is the vicious circle to a degree... but how can you define if you are better than somebody apart from what qualities you have that you consider important that somebody else may have. At the end of the day, I want to be happy for myself, and I'll do that by making other people happy around me, by learning about the world and peoples opinions and I'll wear goggles and dye my hair even though I'm aware that it has no practical use in the world apart from making me think that I somehow look cool doing it, and I can't see any wrong in that outlook quite honestly.
