[The prosecutor's face appears, blinking irritably down at the tiny screen. He seems ruffled, with his hair messy and his cravat wrinkled, and slightly out of sorts.]

This is Miles Edgeworth, prosecuting attorney for the Los Angeles County Court System. The time is--

[No idea what the Los Angeles County Court System is, but...]

... Unfortunately, the difference in places is on a much larger scale than what you're likely thinking of.

Exactly how large are you implying? Are we dealing with some sort of international crime syndicate?

... Again, still larger. It might be rather hard to believe at first.

Why don't you get to the point?

Very well.

[A pause]

We've all been taken from different worlds.

[Skeptically] ..."different worlds."

I'm assuming, based off your earlier statements, that you don't simply mean different parts of the world.

[He did warn you.]

Your assumption would be correct.

I am not familiar with your character, but I love his completely straight face. (>w<) iusferendum February 20 2010, 16:09:47 UTC
[After a long pause] You'll have to forgive me if I'm a bit...skeptical on this particular account.

[A~nd lawyer!mode: GET!] How can you be certain this notion of "other worlds" isn't just some elaborate scheme our assailants have come up with in order to disorient us?

Have you heard of the land of Kanan?

Well I hope I'm supposed to be hearing a monotone voice along with the straight face...because I am. iusferendum February 21 2010, 04:48:57 UTC
I can't say I'm familiar with the name, no. But you can hardly expect me to believe we've all come from different worlds. It's simply not possible.

Pretty much, yeah windwilled February 21 2010, 05:01:31 UTC
The fact we're in an underwater city shouldn't be possible either, and yet we're still here.

lol he's going to find a way to explain everything, he is. XD iusferendum February 21 2010, 05:16:38 UTC
Improbable, but not impossible. With technology what it is these days, we may very well have developed habitable deep-sea outposts such as this unbeknownst to the general public.

Though to use such a place for such reproachable means is indeed quite shocking...

Ffffffffft xD windwilled February 21 2010, 05:31:40 UTC
Considering that where I'm from, the sea's existence was only recently revealed, I find that highly improbable.
