Yawning, Lucrecia stared out absently into the street. Her collar was no longer beeping at her, and that meant that she should head out of the city. Everyone kept telling her that, while she was doing a good job attracting attention, it was probably not good to do so every day.

The conservation officers had been lurking around lately, as if she were some dangerous wild beast. How Nanaki lived with such nonsense was beyond her, but then again... he was friends with quite a few of the bipeds. She was supposed to stay away from Nanaki's biped friends, but she was curious on how they accepted the only other member of her people.

Sniffing the air, she rose to her feet again. Her tail flicked to the side, lighting up some of the alleyway with whitish grey flame before she turned and wandered a little more into the alleyway. She shook her head as she walked, her mane shifting with the yellow ribbon.

She stopped after a moment, feeling eyes on her and looked up. Her eyes regarded the looming figure on the rooftop, one that caused a brief flicker of recognition.

Vincent's lips parted briefly, a split second where he might of spoken before he pressed them together, crimson eyes studying the white cat. He shifted once, twice, before jumping down into the alleyway, landing in a crouch and rising slowly, some distance away from her.

She did look very similar to Nanaki's race, aside from the coloring, and his gaze passed over her before nodding in some form of greeting. "You... know Nanaki?"

She had been told to not interact with too many of Nanaki's allies only because it might cause strife and conflict with her missions. She thought that it would be easy enough to keep them separate, and no one had met the rest of her family.

Lifting her nose when he jumped, she took in his scent. It was familiar, but yet different. Her tail flicked to the side at her words before she simply nodded her head as if it would be an obvious answer. "We be coming across each other, aye. You be?"

"Vincent Valentine," he uttered, redistributing the weight on his feet, the talons of his gauntlet curling slightly. Had Nanaki brought her with him to Edge? Or, rather, in the way she had responded, it seemed she had come of her own accord. Coming across each other, by chance or planned?

"And you?"

Her ears suddenly flicked forward at the uttered name, trying to remember where she had heard it before. It rung with some manner of clarity, but it seemed highly important right now, not when she was facing him. What an odd looking gauntlet as well, like some kind of demonic creation meant to strike fear into people.

Turning to the side so her red tattoos were exposed, her tail curled a little more proudly towards her body. "I be Lucrecia," she uttered before regarding Vincent for another moment. "You be with AVALANCHE, no? Friends with Nanaki."

Lucrecia. Lucrecia? Pure coincidence - had to be, and it was morbid to think otherwise - but hearing the name again, even in the feline's dialect, stuck him like a bullet and left him tense.

"Lucrecia..." he echoed before swallowing and nodding to her question, eyes focusing on the tattoos. It wasn't an uncommon name.

While it was difficult to tell much from Vincent's rather expressionless face, Lucrecia sensed that something had twinged with the human. She remembered Nanaki having a little trouble with her name as well and probed her on where it had come from. It was not a name of their people apparently, but then again, she had not really come from either. What she considered traditions and what Nanaki did were quite different.

"You no like my name? Nanaki thought it different too," she said as she walked over to Vincent and sniffed at the edge of his cloak. She shook her mane again, swishing the yellow ribbon from side-to-side. "Where you be of too then?"

Vincent shook his head slightly, moving the cape with his hand from her vicinity after she had sniffed it. It wasn't that he didn't like the name - could anyone base a dislike off a name? Just a mixture of sounds, but they brought up memories that were both pleasant and dampening. Like Lucrecia herself - the one he had known, at any rate.

His eyes settled on her ribbon briefly again before looking elsewhere with a slight shrug in the lift of his right shoulder. "Around."
