God basically spit on my face tonight...but hey its ok
So I leave in 15 minutes for two weeks vacation. Last night my good friend since lord knows when, 1st grade?, had a birthday bash. My friend Remy came out after getting off work to join me and socialize with the bazillion people that were there. We decided to leave around midnight because she knew of another party that was going on on the North side. We decided that I would follow her, leave my car somewhere, then ride with her to the party. Neither of us had been drinking which is a freaking good thing because....We were traveling down the expressway when we hit a light. I was following behind Remy. The light turned yellow and she started to speed up, but then hesitated because I was following her. Well she decided to hit her brakes completely and stop. I was a good distance behind and put on my brakes, but I guess because of not having rain for a while the road conditions we extra bad with the rainy weather and I slide on all the oil and debris on the road. My steering gave out too because I tried to steer to the right to avoid her, but ended up smacking her right side super hard. My car is in pretty bad shape and so is her brand freaking new Honda Accord. What a way to end my night thats for sure. Luckily we neither one had been drinking and the cops that showed up were super nice and didn't ticket me. But because it was a rear end collision its my freaking fault. She shouldn't have stopped at the yellow, but the damage has already been done. I'm just glad neither of us were hurt...although I feel like I was hit with a ton of bricks this morning. My dad isn't home. He's racing in Indy with my brother so we are getting ready to meet him up there at the airport. He's going to kill me regardless of the fact that there is nothing to blame but the weather and poor road conditions. I wasn't speeding...I wasn't following too close..I wasn't on my cell phone...and I was sober..completely. This has basically ruined my summer. I have to work when I get back and I'll have no car. In fact this is probably the end of my having a car period. He always told me its the only one I got, if I wrecked it, that was it. RAHRHAR:UHE:"ARJHNKABSF:b
