In which the usual happens.

I began June fired up, because I had a great idea for writing, and thought that perhaps this time, I'd plan accordingly for July. However, as usual, I diverted from my goal, and instead, turned on Netflix and binge-watched the two seasons of Orange is the New Black, and afterwards, the 24 episodes of Kill la Kill. By the time I had finished, June had almost ended and all my planning was in the early stages.

But oh well.

(Bear with me and my need to insert idols in everything)
Kill la Kill

I should start saying that if Aldo hadn't insisted so much I would have never watched this because it's definitely not my type of anime (Do consider that my top anime is OHSHC and my top manga are Bakuman and Hourou Musuko). But! I watched it and decided that yes, it definitely isn't my type of anime.

I also found the characters were fantastic and appealing and so colorful. A lot of the fiction I enjoy has characters that feel so alive, that you are instantly interested in them.  My favorite was Mako, of course.

Other than the characters, the plot is, once you give it a bit of thought, very ridiculous, and this, coupled with hammy characters and over the top visuals, shouldn't work as brilliantly as it does. Overall, I liked it a lot.

Orange is the New Black

Okay, so basically, I watched two really hyped things. I also enjoyed this series a lot, and I think they are already planning the third season (Great!)

Just like with Kill la Kill, the cast of this series is full of life, every character trapping you, every single one (Although I don't quite like Pennsatucky or Pornstache or Vee, they are still interesting characters).

I know people don't quite like Piper, but I don't mind her, I can understand most of her actions and I know that in her place, I'd be even worse. Even so, she's not my favorite, I think that goes to Red, probably, she's great.

I'd actually recommend both, they are fun and shortish!
Next I'll try watching Orphan Black, but not soon, I got caught up watching old episodes of AKBINGO!! to get myself acquainted with AKB girls, and awwn, they are all so cute!
