I wasn't sure I was gonna get this, but my brother ended up downloading it for our XBOX360. (Mind you, I still haven't played Darkspawn chronicals, and I don't plan to. I refuse to kill my beloved Alistair and Zevran.)
I always liked Leliana back in Origins, though I did sometimes find her odd. But, after playing her DLC 'Leliana's Song' I found a whole new respect for her character. I always wondered what drove the Bard to leave her life behind and why she let Marjolaine live. If it were me, I'd cut the beeyotch down before she became more of a threat... well, which is what I always did in the original game. Even then, I wondered why Leliana was so horrified(or shocked?) when we killed her.
After playing the DLC, I have a whole new appreciation and understanding of her character. And I was pleasantly surprised with her character development; going from a sketchy bard to proving Marjolaine wrong to what we see in Dragon Age. It makes me want to redo her companion quest where I still kill Marjolaine(witch deserves it), but don't harden Leliana, reminding she isn't Marjolaine. I think it fits more, especially after playing the DLC. I understand why she's like the way she is in Origins. Her past was fun to explore... plus i got new awesome armor for my warden. :3 I also enjoyed the new characters. I wonder that Sketch and Silas are up to. Silas in the Chantry of course, but I thought Sketch was sooo cute... like a lil puppy cute... a puppy that can roast you with magic...
And the new dynamic of having the 'leader' talk was a nice touch. I pumps me up for DA2. (Though I still wish I could play as an elf...hymph!) This DLC makes me excited for the aspect of exploring the origins of our other companions and I hope it stretched to our Awakening companions as well. I especially want to see Zevran's. <3 Alistair too... AND A YOUNGER WYNNE! That would be epic. <3
