 Believe it or not, the opening and closing of doors is an unfortunately overlooked form of exercise, especially in tennis. It uses most muscles on the dominant side of the body and burns two calories in one second, more relative to the size and weight of the door.

That knowledge considered, why are so many of you so careless in holding the door? Regardless of advantage, it's common courtesy.
