HOME MORN WEIGHT = 171 - just a fluctuation, I feel good about what I've eaten :)

Today we went to 2 Half Price Bookstores and I got more Veg*n recipe books - yippee!
We also made it to the far away Trader Joe's.  I thought it would be much larger, but it was quite small.  We were about 20 min away from it anyway, because hubby had an eye  appt.  We really can't go that far to the groceries, but since we were most of the way there, we made a point to.   Found some of their products to try and bought 4 of their version of Amy's roasted veg pizza, along with other things.  Did you know that if you remove the boxes you can fit a lot more into your freezer?   If it is something that could be confused with something else, I tear off the end label and put it in a freezer bag with the pieces from the box.   Sometimes I write on the freezer bag with a black sharpie pen.

BREAKFAST:
4  oz banana
1 C Almond DREAM
Bread Shop Ancient Grains Cereal

LUNCH:
3/4 cup cooked brown rice
*6 Meal starters steak strips - cut into little pieces & browned
-sauteed in tsp olive oil + 1  Tbsp sesame seeds
Stir Fry Veggies + squirt dish with Bragg's Amino Acids
*if you don't cut into little pieces and brown well, these will be kind of squishy, like how people like to eat rare meat.  We always ordered our meat with NO pink and burned on the outside, so that is why I followed thru to get the taste we were accustomed to.   It must have worked because omni hubby gave it the thumbs up.  It was kinda like the seitan I made, but mine was not at all squishy, on the other hand, this came in a bag and was convenient.   Remember, if you didn't eat your steak rare before (squishy) then you will want to cut up the strips and brown them well like I did.  While browning in olive oil,  I added onion powder, garlic powder, sea salt, grn pepper, a T steak sauce, and sesame seeds.   I was making this to go on my brown rice and stir fry veggies, so there was one of those frozen soy sauce type packages inside the frozen veggies.  I usually throw it away because I hate the way it takes away the taste of the veggies, but tonight I cut it open and squeezed out about a T into the pan I was sauteeing in.  So, the stuff picked up some flavor and got nice and brown all over too.  Here's a link to see the product:

Burger King Veggie Burger + tom,on,lettc, mustard (watch them so they put what YOU want on it.
water / ketchup & a few of stolen fries :)

SNACK:
3squares Ritter Sport Dk Choc & Hazelnut Bar
Lara Bar Pecan Pie
Fiber 1 bar Oats & chocolate
4oz 100% grape juice with fiber

Activity:
Hubby and I did 40 min walking 2 dogs.  The 22.5lb one got out of breath and I had to carry him about a half a block.  He is a rescue and had heart worms, so he still have a problem with his respiration from that infection.
