people who work at high-kill shelters in my area keep posting REALLY depressing letters to the public on craigslist all about what happens at the shelters and how many animals they kill.
and now i want another dog. i can only imagine what its like with bodies in a shelter and the killing that goes on there...i worked at a vet and even seeing like 1 dead animal per day was gut wrenching. i can't imagine having to take them out by the wagonload. plus the only animals i've ever seen be put down basically knew what was coming or were honestly better off going to sleep...it was a vet, so the only animals we killed were animals that were on the way out. i couldn't live with offing perfectly healthy, wonderful animals just because people didn't feel like keeping them around anymore.
90% of all animals in shelters are owner surrenders. ughhhhh. poor babies!
so now i want a freaking poodle! lol.
in other news, i got my super awesome taxes done and i'm getting a bank-breaking $128 bucks back.
can someone euthanize ME, please?!
